Tech Editing
The devil is in the details. Don’t you hate that quote? But it’s often true that the tiniest details can make or break a project. With your patterns, you want to put your best work on display, and I can help you achieve that. I dig into the math, the grammar, the consistency, and the clarity of your pattern to ensure that you have a quality product to present to your customers.
So, how does it work?

- Rate: I charge $30/hour, with a 20-minute minimum per pattern
- Typical Turnaround Time: 2 weeks. I can usually accommodate quicker timeframes but reserve the right to add an additional $5/hour charge for rush work.
- My sweet spot is with toys, accessories (think hats, shawls, mitts, and socks), and items for the home. However, I’m happy to discuss a garment with you if you like my style.
- Once we communicate about a job, I will need a copy of the pattern to provide a time estimate for the edit. I will endeavor to stick with that estimate, however if a pattern proves to be more challenging than it first appeared, I will let you know before I go beyond the discussed price.
- I invoice upon acceptance of the edits, usually within 1-2 weeks of submitting my notes to you. Payment is expected within 30 days of receipt of invoice.
- What happens if I make a mistake? I’m human; it’s bound to happen at some point. If you spot something I missed, I will work with you to make it right. If it’s a huge error that really impacts the quality of your pattern, we can discuss a partial refund, or a discount on your next edit.
Communication is key! I will stay in touch with you throughout an edit, give you ample time to ask questions after I submit my notes, and will ask you for feedback after the work is complete. I want to learn and grow to become a better service provider to all of my clients, so if anything feels off to you during the process, please let me know.
Project Consultations
Dreaming of completing a big project and don’t know where to start or how to fit it into your life? Let’s chat. I can help you break that project into bitesize chunks, explore your schedule to figure out when and where you’re going to work on it, and provide accountability for Doing the Thing.

What kind of projects? Anything weighing on your mind, really. I’d love to help you break down your big crafting goals and set up tools and systems to help you stay on track. But we don’t have to stop there.
Need to declutter?
Maybe plan out a party or an event?
How about a vacation, or a home renovation?
I love breaking down projects into manageable steps. If there’s a big project looming on your horizon that you don’t know how to tackle, I can help you wrangle it into submission and get you on the path to Done.
How would we start? Contact me to set up a 10-15 minute chat about your project, and then I would build a custom package for you based on my $30 hourly rate.
